I took a pole dancing class expecting just a bit of fun but I loved it and kept it up. It's very physically demanding which distracts me from work and keeps my head clear. I'm not really into running or cycling and have an injury that keeps me from playing more traditional sport so this is perfect for me and gives me lots of goals to work on. It's conveniently on my way home from work and sessions are pre-booked and prepaid weekly which means I'm going even if I don't feel like it! I like the gym as well, but I can't explain how much pole has helped me physically and mentally.
